Guided 3-hour tour includes tasting in treasured Jewish stores and restaurants. Discover traditions and stories behind the food and enjoy anecdotes about Brookline residents.
Along the way, the group will stop for tasting of samples Gefelte Fish, Matzo Ball Soup, Latkes, Falafel, Kosher wines from Brookline purveyors and discover traditions and stories that lie behind the food.
You will learn about Kosher rules, holidays, and the influence of Middleastern, European, and Asian cultures on Jewish cuisine.
As the group walks, they will discuss Jewish history in Brookline, and share interesting anecdotes about the owners of the establishments we visited, and other famous Brookline residents from the 18th-21st centuries.
Participants will be given discount coupons to many Brookline establishments to use when you return on your own.
Group is limited to 12.
