Margaritas Mexican Restaurant

On Sunday, November 8th from 4 to 9 pm Margaritas Mexican Restaurant at 211 Moody Street in Waltham will be host to visiting artists Ventura Fabian and Norberto Fabian, a father and son team of folk artists from Oaxaca, Mexico. With nothing more than a machete, some crude knives and a piece of wood, Ventura will carve a whimsical sculpture right in front of your eyes! Ventura is one of several artists me Ventura has won numerous awards in regional and national contests and has participated in exhibitions throughout Mexico and the United States. Most notably he has exhibited his work at the Harvard Peabody Museum of Archeology and the Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center.
His son Norberto decorates the carvings with bright acrylic paints; his designs and vivid color combinations bring the carvings to life! Don’t miss this unique opportunity to visit with these extraordinary folk artists on their tour of New England, only at Margaritas Mexican Restaurant.
